Everything is moving at pace now for the Ipswich Town Art Trail. The event will be held on 12th & 13th September around 10 venues around the town.

Venues

We have a couple of changes to venues, and this year they will be the following:

  • AMPP on Dove Street

  • Christchurch Mansion

  • Ginnel Foto Fest on Clarkson Street

  • Greenhouse Gallery on St Nicholas Street

  • Le Garagiste on Bond Street

  • MF Gallery on St Helens Street

  • Hidden Garden Cafe (at Puzzle Boutique) on St Peters Street

  • Stoke Bridge Workshops on Stoke Street

  • St Clements Art Centre on Fore Street

  • Unitarian Meeting House on Friars Street

Artists & Makers!

If you are Ipswich based and interested in showing or demonstrating your artworks over the art trail weekend, please email us  for more information. We'd love to hear from you.

We are currently discussing how to further bring diversity to the Ipswich Town Art Trail.

(AMPP is certainly going to be part of it this year). Any thoughts and ideas are welcome.

Volunteers Needed

We need a volunteer to help us design a feedback form for each venue that will be in paper form and a QR code link. The information will also need to be collated and fed back after the event.

Please let us know if this is something you could help us with.

We are also looking for someone to take photos and videos at each venue. Could you help with this?

Let us know.

Great News!

We are happy to report that we have a little funding this year from Ipswich Central to help us pay for printing and other limited promotional items. Ipswich Central have also given us the old Superdry unit in the Buttermarket to use for distributing leaflets and promoting the trail. We have one volunteer for being in the space and we need at least one other person to be in there too. If this is something you can help with, please email us

We now know that Ipswich has progressed to the long-list of nine for City of Culture 2029. This is very exciting and we want the art trail to feature in the plans being devised for our bid.

Have you logged your details into the IVAC Directory on the website yet? If you are an artist, gallery owner, maker or venue, please head to this link to supply your name, your speciality and your website/social media here - it only takes a minute https://forms.gle/88wcaARULfXWoTKd7

The directory will be published on the website soon.

Our upcoming meeting will focus on discussing progress and action items.

You are welcome to join us on Sunday 5th July, 2pm at the Unitarian Meeting House.
