Wow! What a Success!

Wow, what a weekend we've had! Over 800 visitors to the Unitarian Meeting House and Marquee! The whole place was buzzing. As was the town. A massive success for our very first year of the Ipswich Town Art Trail organised by IVAC.

Each of the other 9 venues taking part had a wonderful weekend too. Every place had it's own unique set-up which meant that there was plenty of variety in the interpretation of art and the individuality of each venue.

We have heard from all the participants who were thrilled with the response from the public. Here are a few of their comments:

" It was fabulous to see artists at work and be able to talk to them on the Ipswich Town Art Trail, and the venues and artists were all very welcoming." PK

"I managed to see most of the participating events and artists and thought it was great to see so many people interested in the arts and what Ipswich has to offer." PM

"I met nothing but friendly, positive and supportive comments from the public and fellow artists . What was exciting was the sense of unity and enjoyment all day long, and the effort and distances travelled by guests, each having great fun plotting their voyage around the town with their excellent maps. Basically it’s been a great and refreshing success." MM

The Art Trail really did celebrate the diverse art and culture of Ipswich, and we couldn't be prouder of our achievement for our very first year.

We are all now in debrief mode, discussing all the feedback and ideas, and we will talk about the Art Trail for 2026.

Meanwhile, please head over to the photo gallery (more photos are still coming in) to see what was captured during The Ipswich Town Art Trail 2025!
